The Hollywood Reporter reported that Cohen appeared in a yellow hoodie and matching trousers to portray the satirical hip hop journalist. Fans dressed in similar outfits, with some wearing fake goatees and wrap around sunglasses, joined him on a tour of London landmarks before Cohen hosted an Ali G lookalike contest. [1]

The character first appeared on British television in 2000 on Da Ali G Show before the series later aired on HBO, according to The Hollywood Reporter. [1]

Cohen was born in Hammersmith, London, in October 1971. His middle-class family included his father Gerald, who owned menswear shops, and his brother Erran, a composer who has created music for Cohen's films. [3]
