The agency is shopping the projects to buyers at the Asian Contents and Film Market in Busan, South Korea. The acquisitions come amid a surge in commercial and critical interest in cinema led by female directors from China. [1]
The slate includes a new short film by Shao Yihui titled Winning at Sleep. According to Variety, the short presents a satirical take on meritocracy and competitive culture by following an everyday girl who receives an unexpected opportunity for success.
