Polish comic book production has increased more than fourfold since 2010, according to a report published by Komiksopedia. The analysis records 2,294 total editions published in 2025, highlighting growth in manga and self-publishing. The study shows the market recovered after a brief slowdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. [1]

The report, titled The Comics Market in Numbers 2025, was published on Oct. 30 as Komiksopedia's first annual analysis of the domestic publishing industry. Out of the 2,294 total editions recorded for the year, 272 were revised reissues, leaving 2,022 original new titles. [1]

Komiksopedia's total output figures exceed the official data collected by the National Library of Poland, which received 1,579 comic book titles in 2025. Researchers attribute the higher count in their report to a broader methodology that incorporates small-run independent publications. [1]
