Warner Bros. Television Group Chairman and CEO Channing Dungey has added Paramount cable networks to her responsibilities, Deadline Film Adaptations and Variety reported. The expansion of her portfolio follows the official closing of the Paramount and Warner Bros. merger. Dungey stated to staff that it was time to begin a new chapter. [1][2][4][5]
Under the new arrangement, Dungey will oversee cable channels including MTV, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, and BET, according to Deadline Film Adaptations. She previously took on oversight of Warner Bros. Discovery networks such as Discovery Channel, TLC, HGTV, and Food Network at the start of 2025. [1]
In a separate development within the merged company, Skydance Motion Picture Group co-chairs Dana Goldberg and Josh Greenstein announced that Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures will both continue to build and release their own separate slates of films, Variety reported. [2]
Dungey is an American television executive who became the chairwoman and CEO of Warner Bros. Television in 2020. She previously served as the first Black American president of a major broadcast television network. [6]
The corporate restructuring follows the acquisition proposed in February 2026, in which Paramount Skydance announced its intent to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery in a deal valuing the company at $110.9 billion. [8]
