Artists Equity Launches New Indie Label Artists Equity Independent Pictures
Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have expanded their production company Artists Equity by launching a dedicated banner for emerging independent filmmakers.

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have launched Artists Equity Independent Pictures, Variety reported. The new banner is dedicated to platforming emerging filmmakers in the independent film space. Variety, boardroom.tv, and TheWrap all reported on the expansion of the production company. [3][8][9]
According to Variety, Jennifer Westin, senior vice president of creative affairs and production, will lead day to day supervision of the new independent slate. She will work under the guidance of Amy Baer, who serves as president of film and television at Artists Equity. [3]
Affleck and Damon founded Artists Equity in November 2022 as a full service content company. Affleck starred in independent projects early in his career, including Dazed and Confused in 1993 and several comedies directed by Kevin Smith. [2][12][14]
Variety reported that Affleck is also preparing for the release of his new feature movie Animals on Netflix. He previously played the comic book character Batman across four feature films released between 2016 and 2023. [2]
