A judge on Thursday ordered Creative Artists Agency co-founder Michael Ovitz to complete his deposition in a sexual assault lawsuit brought by actor Julia Ormond. Variety Film and Variety both reported that the ruling comes months after Mr Ovitz walked out of an earlier questioning session when asked about Jeffrey Epstein. [1][2]

According to Variety Film, Ms Ormond is suing the agency over an incident stemming from December 1995. The lawsuit alleges that the talent agency arranged a meeting between Ms Ormond and Harvey Weinstein, after which Mr Weinstein allegedly sexually assaulted her. [1]

Although Mr Ovitz had already departed the agency by December 1995, attorneys representing Ms Ormond have sought to question him regarding the relationship between the agency and Mr Weinstein. Variety Film reported that lawyers also intend to examine how the talent agency addressed sexual misconduct concerns, following an initial deposition on 1 June where Mr Ovitz abruptly left. [1]

The questioning involves references to Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender whose extensive network of high-profile associates was documented in government case files and public records. The court order requires Mr Ovitz to answer the remaining questions in the ongoing legal proceedings. [1][4]
