Erin Foster, creator of the Netflix romantic comedy series Nobody Wants This, has responded to public political statements made by series star Adam Brody regarding the Israel and Gaza conflict. The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline both reported that Foster addressed the matter during an upcoming appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. [1][2]

The Hollywood Reporter reported that Brody previously stated in an interview with GQ that he considered the conflict a genocide and supported a free Palestine. Speaking on the podcast, Foster called the situation complicated and explained that the show set resembles dinner tables around the world where people discuss and disagree. Foster noted that while she loves Brody, she disagrees with him, according to The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline. [1][2]

Deadline reported that Foster stated Brody is entitled to a different opinion from hers. The responses come as the romantic comedy series returns to Netflix for its third season, Deadline and IndieWire reported. [2][5]

Nobody Wants This was created by Erin Foster and premiered on Netflix in September 2024, starring Kristen Bell alongside Brody. Brody plays the role of Noah Roklov in the series. [8][9]
