Dehradun author Aloka Dasgupta Niyogi presented her debut novel at the Frankfurt International Book Fair, according to the Garhwal Post. The novel is titled Inheritors of Silence - Four generations & a Forgotten Homeland. The appearance at the trade event in Germany follows an earlier launch at the New Delhi World Book Fair. [1]

The Garhwal Post reported that the Frankfurt International Book Fair features publishing industry agents, trade professionals, and publishers representing more than one hundred countries. The venue consists of expansive exhibition halls where books undergo assessment for international appeal. [1]

The autumn gathering in Frankfurt originated during the twelfth century as a trade site for hand-written manuscripts, supported by imperial privileges granted to the city. Following Johannes Gutenberg's invention of movable type printing around 1450 in Mainz, located approximately twenty kilometers from Frankfurt, the fair shifted to trading printed works. [5]

The presentation of the title in Germany marks a transition from regional publishing venues in India to the international trade circuit. Outlets including Tuoi Tre News and the Qatar News Agency reported on concurrent international publishing activities around the event. [1][2][4]
